ARCO Member Exclusive
Member workshop on key trends, opportunities and growth in the Integrated Retirement Community sector
This event is open exclusively to ARCO Members, Accelerators and Strategic Partners.
This workshop is the chance for colleagues from across the membership to come together, connect and discuss shared sector opportunities and challenges.
Overview:
Join fellow ARCO Members for an engaging and collaborative workshop hosted at Elysian Residences’ The Denton IRC in Berkhamsted. This in-person event will bring together operators from across the sector to explore how technology can support the effective management of Integrated Retirement Communities (IRCs) while enhancing communication and engagement with residents.
The session will focus on practical insights and shared experiences, highlighting innovative tools and approaches that can streamline operations, improve service delivery, and foster stronger connections within communities. As operators continue to expand their portfolios and manage multiple communities, the workshop will also address the growing importance of maintaining oversight, consistency, and regulatory compliance at scale—ensuring quality and accountability across every scheme.
Sessions will include:
- Your IRC at your fingertips: how digital tools are transforming operations and resident experience
This session explores how integrated digital tools can transform operations, communications and information flow within an Integrated Retirement Community — benefiting both residents and operational teams. Using Retirement Villages Group’s Thrive communities as a live example, the session will showcase how Virtual Viewing's Home User Guide and digital twin technology are helping to create clearer, more consistent communication while also improving day‑to‑day operational performance.
We'll hear from Lucy Black, Marketing Director, and Sam Ellis, New Homes Sales Manager, at Retirement Villages, who will give insight into the project and why RVG were looking for a new approach to support residents and staff across their Thrive portfolio. We'll be treated to a demo from Stewart Bailey, CEO and Alex Antzoulatos, Head of Sales, from Virtual Viewing plus diving into the intuitive access technology behind the solution and hear insights from RVG’s sales team, highlighting the operational benefits already being realised.
- Operational Challenges of Scaling IRC Portfolios — and How to Overcome Them
Andy Barker, Customer Engagement Manager at TIS will discuss how when IRC operators continue to grow their portfolios, the complexity of managing compliance, service, and maintenance across multiple villages increases significantly. This 30-minute session will explore the operational and commercial challenges associated with scaling—from contract management and evolving legal compliance requirements to asset oversight and cost control.
Joined by Steven Jeremiah, Group Asset Manager at Audley Group, the discussion will draw on real-world experience to examine the risks of devolved, site-level management models and the inconsistencies they can create. It will also consider the benefits of a more centralised approach, including improved visibility, stronger governance, and greater efficiency through working with a single, specialist compliance partner.
Designed for senior operational leaders, the session will provide practical insight into how operators can reduce risk, improve consistency, and build scalable, future-ready compliance frameworks across their portfolios
Attendees will also enjoy an exclusive tour of The Denton, offering a first-hand look at the facilities and operational model in practice. The event will provide valuable opportunities for open discussion around common challenges, including portfolio management, compliance, and scalability, as well as the exchange of ideas, best practices, and solutions among peers.
