Operational Management Member Workshop - October 2023

This is an ARCO Member Workshop open exclusively to Members, Accelerators and Strategic Partners

The Operational Management workshop will take place at MHA Welland Place IRC in Market Harborough, and it will provide insights into some of the current topics surrounding operations within the integrated retirement community sector

The event will take place on Thursday 19th October, from 11am - 3pm at MHA Welland Place IRC.

Topics covered as part of the event will be:

• What makes a great General Manager?  Discussion panel with village managers, what makes the role so unique, challenges, what’s been learned over the years and what the success of running a harmonious village is
• Presentation of any of the broader topics that have come to light of the General Manager research that can be shared at this point.
• Changes on the horizon: Part 1 Digital Switchover: What will the digital switchover mean for IRC operators – who and what will it affect? What is the timeline and what are the key dates for IRC operators. How to be ready - exploring different systems and different options for mitigation. Pitfalls – what to watch out for!
• Changes on the horizon: Part 2 Fire & Building Safety. An update on the new building and fire safety duties for operational IRCs, focusing on those coming into force in October 2023 – focusing on practical outputs.
