Sally Ireland, Director of Legal & Compliance at ARCO, will be joined by representatives from TIS, ARCO Strategic Partner, and guest speaker Daren Little, Group IT Director at AEM Living, to discuss the upcoming digital switchover and its impact on Integrated Retirement Communities (IRCs). The session will include expert insights, practical experiences, and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions during a live Q&A.
The final deadline for the UK's telephone digital switchover is 31 January 2027. By this date, all traditional analogue phone lines (PSTN and ISDN) will be permanently switched off and replaced with digital, broadband-based services.
In Integrated Retirement Communities, the digital switchover can affect not only telephony but also emergency call systems, ongoing monitoring, door entry, life-critical safety systems and many other parts of IRC infrastructure. IRC operators should ensure that they have a plan in place to be switchover-ready by 31 January.
At this operational forum, we'll explore the implications of the upcoming switchover, and will discuss how to manage a smooth transition before the January 2027 deadline.
