New resources for Older LGBTQ+ Londoners - April

Making Safe Housing Choices Launch: Inclusive Housing Resources for Older LGBTQ+ Londoners

Tonic Housing is delighted to welcome the ARCO network to this launch

London is home to the largest older LGBTQ+ population in the UK, yet their housing needs and experiences continue to be widely overlooked. Recent research has highlighted clear inequalities — from discrimination and a lack of inclusive housing options, to limited accessible information for those making later-life housing decisions.

Tonic Housing is delighted to invite you to the official launch of two new practical resources, an infographic and a guidebook, created through the Making Safe Housing Choices project. This was a collaborative project between The University of Surrey, The University of Hertfordshire, Tonic Housing, Stonewall Housing, housing policy makers and organisations and older LGBTQ+ Londoners. This event marks the culmination of extensive community engagement and celebrates the voices that shaped these resources from the ground up.

The event will showcase the guidebook and infographic, which are designed to support older LGBTQ+ people in navigating housing decisions with confidence and dignity. Join us to explore these resources, hear from those involved in its creation and help us share it with the communities who need it most.
