The event will take place at the new ExtraCare Charitable Trust's Wixam Retirement Village in Bedford.
Attendees will have the chance to tour Wixams as part of the day as well as take a deep dive workshop that focuses on the varying aspects of providing care within Retirement Communities.
Highlights of the Agenda include:
- Guest speaker and end of life care expert Professor Keri Thomas OBE will talk about her work with The National Gold Standards Framework and how she is currently working with Retirement Community Operators ExtraCare Charitable Trust and Housing21 on a 'Golden Years' project.
- Trowers & Hamlins will share their expertise on what to consider when outsourcing care, looking at contract structures and contract/provider management as well as giving an overview of the CQC housing-with-care requirements.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
